on hate.
i’m a bit naive about the world i guess. i participate in a few organizations and groups that are supposed to welcome everyone and be very loving of all, but of course, this is not true of the world nor these organizations.
i get really annoyed when i get mean comments about work i do, whether they are pertaining to articles/videos i create for ovn, choreo for all types of groups, or i guess my overall demeanor as a person. i’m all for constructive criticism, but when people straight up hate on me as a person (esp if they don’t know me), i get pissed.
for the most part, i think people are blinded by their own opinions, unable to see the true nature of the work’s content. thus, they are extremely swayed, straying from the nature of the work into some personal divergence on the general topic.
conclusion? there are a lot of unnecessarily hateful people. i want to punch them in the faces. but i think being successful financially and career-wise will be enough. it will be my subtle way of throwing the middle finger at them all.
