on the holidays…
this year marks a new part of my life, and i’m extremely thankful for all the fortune i’ve had this year.
- wonderful mother who keeps me in check. who else is going to tell you your makeup is whack or that your clothes make you look fatter than you are?
- three brothers who sometimes think they’re my father figure and tell me smart things about life or do dumb things so i can learn from them
- a boyfriend who believes in second chances
- a network of friends who know i’m crazy but deal with it
- a career path that is unpredictable but truly enjoyable in a time when asian artists are not common and jobs for econ majors do not exist
- essentials, like food and clean water
- materialistic awesome things such as a bed, computer, phone, and other advances that allow me to be comfortable and productive
- an education and a future, a privilege that many do not experience and thankfully i have.
- the fact that i can make choices
i dont want to be another zombie american drone that loves materialistic consumption and a shallow relationship with family. i shall work on that! :)
happy thanksgiving, and enjoy your turkeys! tell me how your naps go. my family will be having banh trang tonight!
